Terms & Conditions of Storage.

If the following conditions are not strictly adhered to, we regret that:-

♦ The caravan/boat will not be accepted for storage.

♦ The management reserve the right to remove the caravan/boat from the storage area and/or off the site if it is felt necessary.


a) The caravan/boat must be completely insured and remain insured for the period of time it remains on the site. (Proof of insurance is required by providing us with a photocopy of the insurance certificate). Responsibility for re-insuring the caravan/boat lies entirely with the caravan/boat owner and we do not accept responsibility for the consequences if this is not done.

b) Whilst every care will be taken by us to avoid any damage occurring to your caravan or boat, M Jones Marine and its staff will not accept any liability for any damage to your touring caravan/boat or its contents, howsoever caused as a result of towing, movement or transportation of the touring caravan/boat to or from its summer pitch, unless due to the proven negligence of M Jones Marine or its staff. Similarly, we do not accept any liability for any damage to your caravan or its contents, howsoever caused, whilst it is being stored at our premises. We therefore strongly recommend that you obtain your own suitable insurance cover, to the full value of your caravan, against any such loss or damage occurring to your caravan or its contents during transportation or storage.

c) Caravans/boats and all other property are left entirely at owners own risk.



a) The caravan/boat must be kept in good condition. The handbrake, towing gear, jockey wheel jack and corner steadies must be maintained and always kept in good working order.

b) Old Caravans/boats – We have an age limit of 15 years. This means we will only accept a touring caravan/boat for storage if it is less than 15 years old.

c) Untidy looking caravans/boats will not be accepted. Caravans/boats will only be accepted if they are in good order and appearance. All caravans/boats must be washed at least once a year. We do not accept large showman type touring caravans such as Burstners,Tabberts or Hobbies.

d) The caravan/boat must display a proper registration plate (Not Cardboard) on the rear of the caravan/boat in the normal manner. A valid storage number will be provided by us and attached to the towing A frame of the caravan/boat and must be continuously displayed during storage.

e) Those that opt for indoor storage should be aware that space is limited and early booking is essential. Furthermore, the buildings used for indoor storage are not bird free and that caravans/boats may come out of indoor storage dirty.



a) The caravan/boat must have a good quality hitch-lock.

b) M Jones Marine must be provided with a spare set of keys for the hitch-lock and any other security device that is provided.

c) All provided security devices must be fully assembled and ready for M Jones Marine and its Staff to fit.

d) We will not accept responsibility for the loss of damage to a caravan or boat hitch-lock, hitch-lock cover, hitch-lock key or any other provided security device.



a) Only M Jones Marine staff are allowed access to the storage compound.

b) Owners must give M Jones Marine at least 24 hours notice before arriving to collect their caravan/boat. Failure to do this may mean that the caravan/boat not being removed from the storage compounds and hence not ready for collection.

c) All work must be paid for before or on collection. Boats or Caravans will not be released until full payment has been received



a) All renewal fees must be received a minimum of 14 days before the previous storage period expires.

b) If your current contract expires and renewal payment is not made within 3 months of the expiry date, we reserve the right to charge for storage at our current daily rate.

c) In the event of storage fees being overdue, M Jones Marine may retain possession (lien) until the arrears are settled in full or otherwise discharged. M Jones Marine will undertake to notify possession by recorded delivery.

d) In the event of negative response to possession, legal action may be taken to sell the stored item via The Torts Interference with Goods Act 1977. The outstanding arrears will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale, as will any reasonable costs incurred. The remaining balance will be retained by us to await collection. The proprietor will seek to obtain the best price available based on current market values and notify the owner of the date and place of sale.

e) Notices shall be served upon the parties at the address given overleaf or such other address in the United Kingdom as may be notified in writing for the purpose.



a) Storage fees must be paid in full at the time of signing the contract and do not include pitch fees if the caravan is used on M Jones Marine.

b) When caravan/boat removal from the storage compound or shed is required for less than 4 days, then a towing charge of £10 will be made.

c) If the owner should sell the caravan/boat to a third party, this storage agreement contract is not transferable to the new owner.

d) By signing this agreement, you are bound to all terms and conditions set out in this document which is valid for the duration that the caravan/boat is stored on our premises.



Storage customer names and addresses will be stored on computer for administrative purposes and for the purpose of future distribution of advertising material.
